Kalli
Beautiful Kalli arrived for rehoming on 1 March 2025. She was very nervous of new people when she arrived and we have taken our time with her. In doing so we have found her to be a very playful, affectionate, sweet dog but she definitely prefers women to men.
Kalli is 2 years and 2 months of age, a crossbreed staffie, possibly with a Boxer, or something like an American bulldog. She is 22.9 kilos in weight and quite leggy.

Handling
When Kalli arrived, she was very nervous of us, and it took about 8 days for her to really relax and come out of her shell.
Since then, she has blossomed into a very friendly, affectionate dog who loves showering women she knows with kisses. She has also engaged very positively with men, including kisses, cuddles and having zoomies on them when women she knows are present. But she is still nervous of new men and new people in general, and she would not suit a busy home with lots of visitors. Or if you do have a lot of visitors you must understand that Kalli will need time, and may always be a dog that is nervous of new people and as a result may bark at new people initially.
As Kalli may be nervous meeting you, it may be necessary to have more than one viewing. Please keep this in mind if you have a distance to travel to get to us.
She may be best suited to a female-only home at this time, or a home with women and men if the males understand it may take longer for her to feel comfortable with them.
Walking
She can be quite strong at times, but tends to do this more if she sees a dog or people. Less pulling on grassy areas. Responsive to handler during walks. When she sees dogs she may sometimes do a puppy-bow, or bounce excitedly. Waits at road when told. No issues with loud noises such as trains. She has been a good dog to walk.
Playing
Kalli loves to play and will play with pretty much any toy. She has shown no aggression or dominant behaviours towards female staff during play, but she is reluctant to engage with male handlers during play unless there is a female present.
She often brings toys back to us, and will sit, give paw and wait reasonably well for toys to be thrown again. She can have the zoomies when she is particularly excited and playful, and has on a couple of occasions had some soft mouthing when she was very excited.
Health
Being only just over 2 years Kalli appears to be in excellent health. She is microchipped, but not yet vaccinated or neutered. She will soon see our vet to have her 1st restart vaccination.
The adoption contribution is £225.00.
